The couch photo knows your address
Photos for a classified listing are usually taken inside your home with your phone — which means, with default settings, they embed GPS coordinates accurate to a few meters, plus timestamps that reveal when you're home. Combined with a listing that says "moving sale, everything must go", that's more information than you'd ever put in the ad text.
Don't rely on the platform
Some marketplaces strip metadata on upload; others preserve the original file or only strip on certain paths (web vs app, image vs attachment). Policies change and aren't advertised. The safe assumption for any classifieds site, forum, or direct-to-buyer email is that the buyer can see whatever the file carries.
